Diastema

What is a Diastema?

A diastema is the medical term for a gap of more than 0.5 mm in any of your teeth. A diastema can appear in both adults and children, but will usually close as people age. It is not compulsory to get this condition treated as it poses no risks or health hazards. However, you may choose to get treatment if you don’t like the appearance of it.
